Mannn was this place DELICIOUS! So happy I got the wings( SO DELICIOUS). The price is perfect for the size x flavor. I def will come back I got 8 pc bone in wings. Half Seoul Spicy half Spicy Lemon Pepper with a side of ranch x comeback sauce (get to choose two flavors x 2 dips). I like the ranch with the wings and comeback sauce with the fries. The spicy lemon pepper was my favorite but Seoul spicy were still good. Seoul spicy is spicy with a good kick and some sweetness. Kinda takes me back to South Korea. I also tried their Cajun fries which were good. Ideally fried chicken joints always serve crinkle fries but either they taste bad/ frozen, so I was impressed they made their fries taste good. S/o to the cooks / cashier. Food was hot and yummy. I had zero complaints about Customer service!! (: If you like crispy fresh flavorful Korean fried chicken .. try this place out. If you're a wing head like me ... come try their wings. Can't wait to try their other wing flavors. I would get the Cajun crinkle fries again forsure. I stopped here a few weeks ago for some Holdaak Fried Chicken since i was in town. Stopped inside and i ordered 20 non spicy wings and fries with a drink for $65.99. The wings are huge, and the fries and all are crispy. Nice people that work here. Its kind of a hidden gem in Van Nuys off of Sherman Way and Van Nuys blvds. My go to spot anytime i am in the area.

I wanted to try out Korean fried chicken. This restaurant was the closest. What an exciting and surprising discovery! Located in a strip mall, I found the gem! I had the original chicken sandwich, which was absolutely great! The fries were a surprise as they were crispy and flavorful! The service was friendly and efficient. I will definitely be coming back!

Holdaak is a not-so-hidden gem of a fried chicken spot! We've been DoorDashin' from them for awhile and finally made it into the store today. Clean store and friendly cashier. But we're just here for the chicken (and to try to win a knock-off Pikachi on the claw machine). YOU MUST GET A STRIP DOG. You must. Delicious chicken plus an awesome brioche hot dog bun and your choice of spice/sauce -- YUUUUMMM! Their chicken rivals the other chicken spots but I do love their wings and these strip dogs kicked it up a notch for me. Can't wait to be back!

I always wondered about this Korean fried chicken place ever since it opened. It's a mini-chain based in OC and started in Fullerton with several locations around Los Angeles like Highland Park and Northridge. I couldn't help but notice that the employees here are not Korean like other KFC spots around town. We are reminded that we are in Van Nuys and not in K-Town. You've got Spanish music blasting as if you're in a Mexican restaurant which threw me off. Whatever makes the employees happy at work. :) I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. The flavors are on point with the fried chicken and slaw, but the crunch was less satisfying compared to the fried chicken at bb.q Chicken. My favorite were the crinkled seasoned fries reminiscent of Shake Shack along with their comeback sauce. The self serve fountain drinks are your standard Pepsi family of sodas and Jamaica agua fresca. The service at the counter was very warm and friendly. The fried chicken sandwich came out quickly. They also have Korean hot dogs and packaged Korean ramen should you for some reason crave packages ramen at Korean Fried Chicken spot. Parking was plentiful at the time of my visit.

The fried chicken sandwich here is to die for! My favorite sandwich is the spicy chicken sandwich with the daikon slaw. The chicken is packed with spices and the sauce they put is also spicy giving it more flavor. The daikon slaw really compliments the whole sandwich. The chicken is so juicy and the buns are similar to sweet hawaiian rolls. I love their comeback sauce. It is sweet but spicy at the same time. The parking at this location is kind of hard because the plaza is always packed. I usually order to go, but they a large dining area. My order is usually done on time, or early than the time slot I put. Look out for deals daily, because they offer them on the website or in person. Such as: bogo on sandwiches, 5 off wings on certain days, etc. I recommend trying this place out!!

400th review! Holdaak Fried Chicken opened their location in Van Nuys 2 years ago - my wife and I have always been tempted to try them out but we never got around to it and the parking situation scared us off. Not today! I'm so glad we braved the heat and went because I'm still kicking myself for sleeping on this place! The parking lot is a small shared lot with numerous other businesses so it can get pretty tight and sporty! Seriously, keep your head on a swivel when walking in the lot as drivers like to go hard. That said, parking is not mission impossible so don't sweat it! Holdaak Fried Chicken looks deceptively small on the outside but inside there's so much space for dine-in! We ordered at the counter and the food was freshly made in a reasonable amount of time. I had the Korean Chicken Bowl while my better half had the Sweet Chili Chicken Bowl. I don't normally go cuckoo for chicken but this knocked my socks off! The chicken is so good with quite the kick to it! We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu! Don't hold off on trying Holdaak Fried Chicken like we did - just go! Delicious chicken, generous portions, nice employees - what's not to like? If you're in the hood of Van Nuys and want to get some good grub, come here! It's located off of Van Nuys Blvd. and Sherman Way.

It was lunch time and the place was completely empty, which is not always a good sign, but I had to eat quickly before returning to work. I got a holdaak original sandwich with the daikon salad. I don't like when my main dish is on the sweet side, and the ketchup made it like that. But not their fault, since the sign tells you that the sandwich come with the ketchup. Overall the combo was solid, fries were actually really good. Just wished the chicken was a little juicier with more seasoning, nothing that bothered me very much.

Provender: how's the chicken? Crispy and moist. I recommend getting your chicken sandwiches or wings from this joint. The wings are a decent size also. Prices: 10 wings will run you about $20. Seems pricey, but once you see and taste them, they'll seem worth it. Parking: they have a shared lot, and it's best to enter on Sherman Way. People: fun for all. Perks: they also offer hot dogs in addition to their sandwiches, strips, and wings. They have a wide variety of sauces, so you can order the original wings and get the sauce you enjoy best.

This place is magical and had a great spot in my heart. Love their moist juicy chicken drizzle with the secret spices so far the best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten. I only hope if there's a way to customize salt level preference. We ordered the family chicken meal with fries and their sauces is so good. That is why the restaurant is coming up with two more branches so a total of 10 branches in all of SoCal. I highly recommend this place for any of your crispy yummy chicken cravings! Staff is attentive to your needs. There is plenty of parking spaces. Music level is average. There are several seating area inside the restaurant for you to dine in. The place is well lighted and there's wall displays of menu and items showing the different flavors they offer.
